This collaboration was announced by Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang during his keynote speech at the Computex technology conference held in Taipei. The initiative is set to equip researchers by 2026 with advanced humanoid robots, paving the way for artificial intelligence systems that can execute intricate manual tasks with precision.

The project revolves around the Nvidia Isaac GR00T H2 Plus humanoid robot, which integrates Sharpa’s highly dexterous robotic hands, Unitree’s H2 humanoid body, and Nvidia’s cutting-edge AI computing technologies. The robotic hands designed by Sharpa boast 22 degrees of freedom, closely mimicking the dexterity and tactile sensitivity of human hands. This design enables the robots to undertake tasks that necessitate fine motor control, which is essential in areas such as precision manufacturing, healthcare assistance, food preparation, and other activities demanding precise object handling and manipulation.
